Google is googling us
Google is a household name for search engine. Most people would prefer using Google compared to other search engines due to google’s clean, white interface and easy navigation of the website content.
Statistics have proven that people switch from “hotmail” to “gmail” which provides larger storage space for emails.
However good google, we should always look at the flipside..
After watching the video about what google does to extract unlimited amount of information from our daily lives, I am beginning to feel threatened by Google’s existence. Somehow it appears like Google is evil.
Not just google, we have other social networking stalking tools such as Facebook also extracts information about us. Giving out information is not as simple as a social trend. Online exposure is taking privacy away. Even if our profile is set to “private”, application programme owners who can look at accounts when we access seemingly innocent questions. Our information will be scrapped from simple quizzes.
Privacy no longer exist. This is horrible.
