Monirity Report

Minority report is movie which depicts lifestyle and technology present in year 2054.

Definitely one of the movies which gets people’s eyes glues to the screen. It is a brilliant display of future predictions about people’s lifestyle, criminology and, for sure, technology which seems out of this world. With cars traveling both horizontally and vertically, everything else seems possible.

Some of the predictions that came up from Minority Report

1) Iris Recognition – as defined by Wikipedia, is a method of biometric authentication that uses pattern-recognition techniques based on high-resolution images of the irides of an individual’s eyes.

2) Sixth Sense (device) – extract from website. ‘SixthSense’ is a wearable gestural interface that augments the physical world around us with digital information and lets us use natural hand gestures to interact with that information.

3) Interactive Advertisements – with iris recognition technology, advertisers would make use of such means to direct advertisements to individuals. as can be seen in the movies, advertisements speak directly to the person.

Issue I am concerned is linked with our privacy. Especially with the rampant development of Google and extraction of personal information in exponential rate. What would the world become when technology exposes our identity to the public so much so that we do not have any private lives.
